We’re Param & Suchi — he’s from Bihar, she’s from Bengal, and we live in Bangalore.
For years, we explored India not as tour operators or agents behind desks, but as passionate travellers with cameras and backpacks. We documented our journeys across 15+ states on our YouTube channel (Offbeat Aura) and wrote deep field guides on our travel blog (offbeataura.in).
Why We Created Offbeat Payana
Eastern India has some of humanity’s greatest heritage: the sacred seat of Buddha’s enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, the world’s first residential university at Nalanda, ancient rock fortifications in Rajgir, and the venerable Jyotirlinga at Baidyanath Dham.
Yet, conventional tourism treats this geography like an afterthought — selling rushed 12-hour bus marathons, poor roadside stops, and commission-driven shopping traps. We knew travellers deserved better.
